"To change the world, we must first change the way the babies are being born” - Michele Odent

During your appointment, we talk about any questions you or your family members may have regarding your pregnancy, as well as discuss any upcoming tests or procedures. Care with Woven is collaborative, which means you are the final decision maker to anything regarding your body.
Schedule of care: prenatal appointments are every 4 weeks until 28 weeks gestation, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks gestation, and then weekly until you have a baby. At 37 weeks, we go on call for you 24/7 in anticipation of your labor and birth.
Prenatal Care
A deeply personalized way to welcome your baby into the world and offers the freedom to labor in the comfort of your own space, surrounded by the familiarity and warmth of your home, making it a truly beautiful and transformative choice for those seeking a gentle and empowering birth experience.
We stay in close communication during early labor via phone or text and come to your home once labor moves into a more active pattern. During labor, we monitor both you and your baby’s well-being by taking your vitals and listening to your baby’s heart rate intermittently with a Doppler. We encourage movement, positioning, hydration, and nourishment to support the natural progress of birth.
The birth team is there to offer you emotional, physical and clinical support that encourages the physiological process of birth. Most importantly we are there for the uncommon & unexpected moments in birth and are trained to react promptly to manage, treat or transfer as needed to support the safest outcomes for both you and your newborn.
Through delivery, your midwives remain by your side, providing continuity of care that hospital-based services often cannot guarantee.
Labor &
Home Birth Care
The often forgotten fourth trimester is honored and deeply respected within the midwifery model of care. After your baby arrives, we remain with you for approximately 2–4 hours to closely monitor both you and your baby’s transition. During this time, we perform a full newborn exam, provide any medications and screenings you have chosen for your baby, gently tidy your birth space, and support you with feeding until you feel comfortable and confident, before tucking you in for a well-deserved rest.
Your midwives return within 24–48 hours after birth, offering continuity of care that nurtures emotional bonding between you and your newborn while fostering trust and confidence in your parenting journey. Postpartum care is personalized to your needs and includes guidance on physical recovery, emotional wellbeing, chest/breastfeeding, and newborn care to support a smoother transition into parenthood.
Schedule of care: Your first postpartum visit occurs within 24–48 hours after birth, followed by visits at days 3–4, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks postpartum.
